By using djkrestoration.com (the "Site") or by engaging DJK Restoration, Inc. ("DJK Restoration," "we," "us") to perform inspection, claim representation, or restoration work, you agree to these Terms of Service.
About DJK Restoration
DJK Restoration, Inc. is an Illinois-based roofing, siding, and gutter restoration company, founded in January 2017. The owner, Don Kaider, holds Illinois Roofing License #104.018171. He previously held an Illinois Public Adjuster license for five years, and that experience continues to inform how DJK handles insurance-claim work. We serve homeowners and property owners across the Chicagoland Suburbs and the Atlanta Metro.
Free inspections
Inspections that we provide free of charge are exactly that, free, with no obligation to use DJK Restoration for any subsequent work. We provide written documentation of what we found and, if relevant, our recommendation for next steps. You are free to use those documents with any contractor of your choice.
Insurance claims and homeowner representation
For storm-damage projects, DJK Restoration assists homeowners with the inspection, documentation, and adjuster-meeting portions of the insurance-claim process. Don Kaider does not currently hold a Public Adjuster license, so DJK does not act as your legal representative in claim negotiations. The homeowner remains the party communicating with the carrier. We support the process from the contractor side, with documentation experience from Don's prior 5 years as a Licensed Public Adjuster in Illinois.
We do not absorb your deductible. Doing so is illegal in Illinois and in most states. Most homeowners pay only their deductible, but the deductible is paid by the homeowner, not by DJK Restoration. Any verbal or written promise to the contrary, by anyone, is not valid under these terms.
Estimates and pricing
Written, itemized scopes of work are provided to every homeowner before any work begins. The figure on a signed contract is the figure on the final invoice; we do not issue change orders without your written approval. We do not provide estimates outside of an active inspection or claim because pricing depends on actual measurements, materials, and (where applicable) the insurance carrier's scope.
Warranties
Two warranties apply to every project:
- Manufacturer material warranty: registered in the homeowner's name, typically 30 or 50 years depending on the product. Terms are set by the manufacturer (GAF, Owens Corning, IKO, CertainTeed, DaVinci, LP, etc.).
- DJK craftsmanship warranty: 10 years from the date of work completion, transferable one time to the next owner if you sell the home during the warranty period. Covers installation defects; does not cover storm damage, normal wear, or alterations performed by other contractors.
Financing
Financing for non-insurance projects is provided through Hearth Finance. Hearth is a third-party lender; loan terms and approval are determined solely by Hearth, not by DJK Restoration. We do not mark up financing costs.
Text messaging (SMS) terms
Program description. DJK Restoration, Inc. operates an SMS program through which homeowners who provide their mobile number and opt in may receive text messages from us. Messages relate to the following use cases: appointment confirmations and reminders, inspection and insurance-claim status updates, project and service updates, quote follow-ups, replies to questions about an existing inquiry, and occasional promotional or seasonal offers. Message frequency varies based on your interaction with us.
Message and data rates. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. DJK Restoration, Inc. does not charge for the messages themselves.
Opt-out and help. You can cancel the SMS service at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you reply STOP, we will send one confirmation message and then send no further texts unless you opt in again. For help, reply HELP or contact us at (470) 703-9727.
Carrier liability. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Eligibility. You must be at least 18 years old and the account holder of, or authorized user for, the mobile number provided to consent to receive text messages.
Privacy. How we handle the mobile number and consent you provide is described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share mobile opt-in information with third parties for their marketing.
Site content
The content on djkrestoration.com (including text, photographs, blog articles, and design) is the property of DJK Restoration and may not be reproduced without permission. Project photographs of specific homes are used with the homeowner's written consent.
Limitations of liability
DJK Restoration's total liability for any claim arising out of work performed is limited to the amount paid by the homeowner for the specific work in dispute. We carry general liability and workers' compensation insurance in compliance with the requirements of each state where we work.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois for work performed in Illinois, and by the laws of the State of Georgia for work performed in Georgia. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of the relevant jurisdiction.
